What we do.

  • Provide clear information on abortion provision, access and services in Northern Ireland

  • Provide care packages to support women and pregnant people through their abortion or abortion journey

  • Provide practical support, such as accompaniment to appointments, face to face chat prior to or after abortion

  • Provide Doula support at home before, during or after your abortion

  • Provide someone to listen if you wish to discuss any aspect of your abortion journey or experience with confidentiality and in an environment which is compassionate, non judgmental and free from stigma

  • Provide signposting to support organisations that may be able to assist with additional difficulties someone may be facing

The service is free to use.

We pay our Doulas so you don’t have to. Our project is funded by ROSA UK and was pilot funded by Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust.

What we don’t do.

We are not medical or health professionals and we do not provide medicine directly.

We do not provide financial assistance for expenses associated with abortion healthcare, ASN do however. Abortion healthcare in NI should be free and you should not be charged for clinic access in NI or services in England. However Women on Web and Women Help Women cost around £90 if there is no local access. This is no longer criminalised.

We do not make decisions on behalf of anyone seeking abortion healthcare. We believe in the core value of bodily autonomy and we will not persuade or dissuade anyone from a decision they have made with regard to their abortion and any aspect of their family planning.

We have a page full of links to support and resources we can signpost to in NI, UK and beyond.
